Jingle Bash Saturday!

I've been busy getting ready for the Jingle Bash for the past couple of months and I'm so excited for it to finally be here. Please come and show Etsy Dallas your love and me as well. I'm going to have a few new bags and even a bigger bag with a flat bottom. Yeah! Big enough for baby stuffs! Also there will be over 40 artists, live music, karaoke and food. I've been interviewing! I thought it would be nice to make a cartoon out of my face and send it out as a second interview thank you postcard. I didn't get the job. Maybe it wasn't such a hot idea. But now I have a flawless cartoon of myself.

I had the opportunity to shoot pics of Dylan, Pamela Michelle and Mandi, modeling the latest merch from the fabulous, Tara to the T. Give her a round of applause. Wait! Give everyone a round of applause. No! Give me a round of applause! My head was really swelling as I called to the people to get me a tab and a tic tac.

a wonderful woman, Carol, who quilted it together for me.

I'm making more bags! Sunny has the tendency to want
to roll all over the squares before they have been sewn

Etsy Dallas 1st annual Beer B-Q, 2008

Tefi/Knit Sisters

Drum roll please! May 18th was the big day of Etsy Dallas Beer B-Q'in.

The idea was inspired from a craft circle and came to fruition yesterday. The weather was wonderfully hot and the buying was even hotter. So many customers so little time. Over 20 artists showed up at 8am and stuck it out until 5pm. It was held at the infamous Larry Pile/The Kessler Craftman's lovely home in Oak Cliff. I'm in love with Oak Cliff, because it reminds me of my hometown Seattle. There was free food, beer and music. DJ Modchap and Garrett Heinrichs Band kept the crowd entertained. Kids and adults spent time at the make and take booth and there was even a magician(magic).

Everyone worked so hard and had so much fun. The sun was a little relentless in the driveway of Larry's house, but I still think everyone enjoyed themselves.

I can't wait to do another one!

Quick is Quick!

Can you believe it? I can't! I was like OMG when I saw one of my bags in the Friday Edition of the Quick. Tefi and I were both featured in the Etsy Dallas Beer B-Q write up. Yipee! My 15 minutes of fame. I laminated it and put it up on my fridge.

Urban Street Bazaar 2008!

On May 10th I attended the Urban Street Bazaar in the Bishops Arts District in Oak Cliff. I had a lot of fun when I wasn't having to go to the bathroom. My tent mate for the day was Stephanie/Tefi Designs. I sold 4 bags and some photos. I was absolutely delighted, because I had put so much time and energy into this show and I sold lots of bags.

Tefi's mom Constanza from the Knit Sisters bought the "orange pipe" 16x16 canvas print and Jason/Tefi's baby daddy bought "post"10x10 canvas print. I was a little suspicious. Hmmm!

Also Etsy Dallas was out in full force. We were situated next to three other members! Carrie/Atom-in, Abby/Pulp Reality, and Pamela Michelle.

Happy Earth day! Everyday is earth day!

Sunday was the Oak Cliff Earth Day art show. I had a great time. I showed up at 9:30am and wrapped up around 5pm. There were so many great artists and Etsy Dallas was out in full force. I have to admit that I didn't sell that much. But I learn something new every time I do a show and I get the opportunity to enjoy the company of so many great artists. I'm also growing very fond of Oak Cliff.
